Completed in August of 2023, the gazebo restoration project included washing, stripping, sanding and painting to restore functionality.

With new lighting, flowers, railings, and seating, it's now the perfect place to rest while exploring the fairgrounds. The gazebo is located outside Heritage Hall.

Our Mission as a community-based organization is to assist Thurston County in its operation of the annual County Fair and to maintain and enhancing the fairgrounds facility. We are working to revitalize, develop, and enhance the educational, commercial, and entertainment value of the Thurston County Fair for the benefit of the citizens in and around Thurston County, and the State of Washington.

Incorporated in 2010, The Foundation has raised money through an annual auction, grants, donations, and other fund raising activities. With these funds The Foundation has, with volunteer labor, painted fairground structures, reroofed barns, built a bathroom with showers, completed renovations, erected solar lights, rerouted wiring, and more in an effort to make the fairgrounds the best it can be.
